📚 Growing Readers, Growing Eaters 🌱 Celebrate October Farm to School Month with Small Bites Adventure Club!

It’s that time of year again, folks! October is National Farm to School Month, and you’re invited to celebrate with Small Bites Adventure Club. Register today for FREE hands-on food education resources, including our exclusive recipe activity, Lovely Lettuce with Lemony Vinaigrette, and a LIVE virtual read-aloud with author Katherine Pryor!

Farm to School Month is all about connecting kids with the food on their plates, the farmers who grow it, and the skills they need to grow into lifelong adventurous eaters. This year, we’re bringing food and literacy together with a free hands-on recipe activity -  Lovely Lettuce with Lemony Vinaigrette - and a free LIVE virtual read-aloud of Zora’s Zucchini with author Katherine Pryor, open exclusively to registrants!

Through the recipe Lovely Lettuce with Lemony Vinaigrette, students will practice hands-on kitchen skills, learn how lettuce is grown, and make their own lemony vinaigrette to enjoy with fresh veggies. Along the way, students will sharpen literacy skills through reading, learning new vocabulary, and following instructions.

Last year, Small Bites Adventure Club activated more than 110,000 students across 44 states. This year, we’re aiming even bigger. We’re looking for partners and registrants in all 50 states to join us in spreading the word and making Farm to School Month a nationwide celebration!

At a time when SNAP-Ed has been defunded, food safety concerns around fresh produce are mounting, and kids are already falling short of recommended fruit and vegetable intake, access to positive, hands-on food education matters more than ever!

Register for Small Bites Adventure Club’s free October Farm to School Month resources, gather your little learners, and get ready to cook, read, taste, and explore together.
