Hey Teachers! “Lettuce” Get Cooking this March!

It’s that time of the year again, folks! Small Bites Adventure Club is providing educators with free resources to prepare and taste fruits and vegetables with students in their classrooms to celebrate National Nutrition Month this March. This year, we are featuring a versatile, fun, and simple recipe: 1-2-3 Vinaigrette with Lettuce 🥬!

“Kids can absolutely learn to love vegetables – especially when they are given the opportunity to create and try them through hands-on cooking with their peers in classroom settings,” shares Erin Croom, CEO and founder of Small Bites Adventure Club. Small Bites Adventure Club is on a mission to help children discover, eat and love fruits and vegetables with turnkey food education resources for childcare, after-school programs, and PreK-5th-grade educators.

Through March, teachers can register to receive free digital resources to celebrate National Nutrition Month by making 1-2-3 Vinaigrette with Lettuce. The activity is linked to learning standards and is a simple, fun way to engage kids in trying new things! Resources are available now.

All participating teachers will receive:

  • Step-by-step PDF instructions

  • How-to video with Educator Jenna

  • Family engagement activities

  • 2 Lunch-n-Learns with Chef Asata

  • Standards-based printables & more!

What are teachers saying?

  • Ms. Edens, a kindergarten teacher from Kennedy Elementary and past participant shared: “It’s a fantastic hands-on activity. We used Science, Math, and Listening Skills. Great way to cover three areas of learning. “

  • Ms. Doyle, a PreK teacher in Newton County shared: “The steps were easy to follow, the students loved being able to help make the recipe, and they loved trying something new that they could take home to share with their family to make again.”

Bonus! The first 50 educators to sign-up will receive printed materials. Anyone who shares about their experience will be entered to win a Vitamix blender.

🥬Educators can sign up for free at smallbites.club/lettuce
