We are excited to announce our newest program: Veggie Ready!
This 5-month program will empower educators to lead their 4-7-year-old students through monthly hands-on food education activities. The goal is to graduate “Veggie Ready” students who are prepared to be adventurous eaters for life.
Time required for Veggie Ready Program
1-2 hours/month for 5 months (Spring/ Fall)
1-2 hours/ week for 5 weeks (Summer)
Resources included
Printed materials*, step-by-step recipe instructions, stickers*, digital tools and videos, shelf-stable food*, fresh food delivered through Instacart Fresh Funds (optional)
Requirements: Programs must
Have 4-7-year-olds enrolled
Ability to participate in 1-hour live onboarding at the beginning of the program
Have at least 1 teacher who is willing to lead hands-on food education activity for 1 hour each month.
Ability to receive and respond to email
Take short monthly surveys: Pre-activity, Post activity, monthly check-in surveys
To qualify for a USDA sponsored classroom: Teachers must
Meet the above requirements
Teach PreK-2 grade in a public school setting
Work in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, or Oklahoma
